Are you affected by any of the above? Are you bravely trying to carry on, but feel you cannot burden others with your feelings? Counselling can give you space to help you explore your feelings.
Are you looking for support? For someone who can just listen without giving advice? Someone you can trust? Someone that doesn't have an axe to grind? You can say whatever is on your mind with talking therapy - your concerns will be taken seriously.
Are those that you would normally turn to keeping out of your way?
Finding someone to listen to our sorrows, fears and anxieties is sometimes difficult, we are either too busy or we feel other people are too busy to be interested in us. All to often there is a pressure on us to "move on" before we are ready, or we are told how we should be healing from our grief or loss.
I specialise in bereavement and loss counselling for both individuals, couples and families who live or work in and around West Kent and East Sussex.
...there is a pressure on us to “move on” before we are ready...
Finding someone to listen to your fears and anxieties, and talking them though in a confidential and safe environment may be all that is needed to help you through a bereavement, job loss, retirement or relationship problem.
This is usually long term, and helps to make changes to our archaic beliefs, helping personal growth and awareness. Sometimes our worries and fears have a more complex significance which over time can lead to sleep disorders, depression, anxiety and self-harm.
Especially when we are under pressure to act or do things which we are not comfortable with, or in tense situations, these conditions are commonly described when relating to 'stress'.
Therapy or psychotherapy gives you an opportunity to know more about the root of your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, understand their origins, and help you to change them in a way which helps raise personal awareness and offers choice in how to deal with complex situations in the future.
Coaching enables you to establish and pursue specific short and long term goals personally and professionally. It involves developing and understanding:
I am both a member of The Institute for Transactional Analysis (ITA) and The European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA). I am committed to providing high professional and ethical standards. I adhere strictly to their code of ethics and professional practice.

I offer an initial free face to face consultation, to enable us to meet and decide whether we will be able to work together and for you to decide which of my services are right for you. It also provides an opportunity for you to ask any questions you have.
